LivSolv exists to make preparedness easier to understand. The goal is simple: help people solve realistic problems without fearmongering, jargon or buying things they do not need.
LivSolv combines current expert guidance, product research and years of firsthand experience around real survival situations and people solving problems with limited resources.
How we research
We use manufacturer documentation for product specifications, recognized safety and emergency guidance for the safety floor, independent testing where available, and practical preparedness sources and real-world experience for useful context.
We compare products by the job they need to do, not by who offers the highest commission. Capacity, output, recharge limits, portability, warranty, shelf life, water requirements, ease of use and realistic household needs can matter more than marketing claims.
What we will not pretend
We do not claim to have personally tested a product unless we actually have. When a recommendation is based on published specifications, research or third-party evidence, we say so.
We also avoid turning rules of thumb into guarantees. Emergency guidance depends on weather, health, environment, household size and the specific event.
Our recommendation standard
The simplest workable solution should be visible first. If a problem can be solved for free or with a low-cost grocery-store item, that belongs on the page even when we also recommend higher-end equipment.
When buying equipment makes sense, we narrow the field and explain the tradeoffs in plain language. Readers should not have to learn watts, watt-hours, battery chemistry or filtration terminology before they can make a basic decision.
